So, I am a California girl at heart, but moved from San Francisco to Central Missouri about 8 months ago. It was definitely an adjustment. My nearest Whole Foods is now 2 hours away, and my nearest yoga studio is 30 minutes away. When I was in California, being active was just part of my lifestyle, but it didn’t come as easily in Missouri. So, after a few months of being in Missouri, I realized I had started gaining weight and was uncomfortable going out in shorts or a swimsuit. I didn’t want to leave the house because I was self-conscious and I realized I wasn’t living my life the way I wanted to. I didn’t want to let how I felt about my body impact how much fun i was having in my life. So, I decided to make a change. I quickly came to the realization that driving 30 miles each way to workout was probably not going to be sustainable for me. I came across P90X, and suddenly a light went off. I knew that if I was going to make this work, it needed to be a workout I could do from anywhere.
So, I started P90X, got plugged into a challenge group, and found an amazing coach. Best decision I have ever made. The support and accountability i received from my challenge group was really what I needed to keep me going everyday. When I started to stumble, my coach would check in with me, and help me get back on track. Beachbody really does give you all the tools to be successful, you just have to want it.
I am now doing Turbofire, and I think I found my soulmate workout. I look forward to working out everyday, and I have never been more consistent with my workouts. I feel healthy and strong. I feel confident and sexy. I know I found something that has changed my life.
I became a coach because people started asking me what I was doing and why it worked for me. So, it seemed like the natural next step. I believe in the products, but more than that, I believe in the system (fitness, nutrition, accountability, support) and the impact it can have on people’s lives.
